The Building (Scotland) Act 2003 introduced a new building standards system for Scotland that raises standards and simplifies the approval of many design and construction activities for building owners, verifiers (local authorities) and the industry. SELECT was the first Scheme Provider for the Certification of Construction (Electrical Installations to BS 7671) Scheme and is able to register both Approved Bodies and Approved Certifiers of Construction. Stuart Widdowson of Active Electrical is an approved certifier and can offer Certification of Construction (Electrical Installations to BS 7671).
